This is my directorial debut and very first music video; completed while I was attending the University of Central Florida.
This is my first music video and my first attempt at directing and editing. This project was very close to me. Special thanks to Roozbeh and Brent I couldn’t have done without you two.

I felt fortunate to be able to edit this story because it was my first international story. I had to edit it analog on DVCPRO decks and I ran into so many issues. Not to mention that I had roughly half an hour complete it during what are the most insane hours of any news station, the evening show. I am very proud of my work and I think I have the potential to be a very talented editor.

This was the second package I was able to do. I was very eager in getting my shot to prove my potential in editing. The overall edit is my work, then music was later added by another editor at the request of the anchor.

This was the first re-track I was given. Essentially it is a package already edited to a national CBS anchor’s track but for local broadcast they had one of our anchors re-track the VO. I had to really chop this one up. They removed a lot of the VO and most of it didn’t match. This one was challenging due to the high amount of splicing shots.

This was a recent look-live package I did on the weekend broadcast at CBS 4 News. It aired on February 16, 2008. It was edited using DVCPRO video decks. No Final Cut Pro just golden straight-cut editing. I think it came out pretty good, I only had 15 minutes to do it.

Swimmer Graduates – CBS 4 News
This is my most recent news package. I was very pleased with how it turned out considering I wasn’t given more than a couple of hours to complete it. I can definitely see my skills as an editor improving. Since I am self-taught I’m trying to focus on mastering content first then once I have a good grasp on how to assemble using the best shots to tell the story then I want to take it to the next level, effects and color correction techniques.
